چکیده
The anaerobic digestion, AD, process presents a solution for sustainable waste management, greenhouse gas mitigation and energy production growing population needs requirements. Adopting biorefinery approach that utilises different feedstock may enhance support optimisation of the digestion process. Algae is promising could be used via Microalgal biomass rich in carbohydrates lipids; however, many species algae exhibit tough cell walls also difficult to digest influence or inhibit efficiency AD This study concentrated on comparison remediation two marine algal species, Tetraselmis suecica Nannochloropsis oceanica. were pre-treated with an ultrasound technique compared their methane using biochemical potential tests. For Tetraselmis, specific 0.165 LCH4/KgVS was observed; Nannochloropsis, value 0.101 observed samples treated ultrasound. BMP results from this show among micro-algae tested, found better substrate potential. Contrary increasing production, cavitation caused slight decrease values both oceanica residues. pre-treatment techniques provided comparable can recommended effective bioenergy production. However, further research required microalgae integration microalgal biorefineries circular economy.

Influence of hydrothermal pretreatment on microalgal biomass anaerobic digestion and bioenergy production.
Microalgal biomass grown in wastewater treatment raceway ponds may be valorised producing bioenergy through anaerobic digestion. However, pretreatment techniques seem to be necessary for enhancing microalgae methane yield. In this study, hydrothermal pretreatment was studied prior to batch and continuous reactors. The pretreatment increased organic matter solubilisation (8-13%), anaerobic diges...
متن کامل2. Production of Biogas by Anaerobic Digestion
Anaerobic digestion is a natural process in which bacteria convert organic materials into biogas. It occurs in marshes and wetlands, and in the digestive tract of ruminants. The bacteria are also active in landfills where they are the principal process degrading landfilled food wastes and other biomass. Biogas can be collected and used as a potential energy resource. The process occurs in an an...

متن کاملAnaerobic digestion of saline creeping wild ryegrass for biogas production and pretreatment of particleboard material.
The objective of this research was to develop an integrated process to produce biogas and high-quality particleboard using saline creeping wild ryegrass (CWR), Leymus triticoides through anaerobic digestion (AD). Besides producing biogas, AD also serves as a pretreatment method to remove the wax layer of CWR for improving binding capability and then the residue is used to produce high-quality p...
متن کاملAnaerobic Digestion of Kitchen Wastes: “Biogas Production and Pretreatment of Wastes, A Review”
Currently, much of our biodegradable wastes such as kitchen wastes, agricultural wastes & animal wastes are used to produce Biogas, a powerful greenhouse gas. Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a treatment that composts these wastes in the absence of oxygen, producing a biogas that can be used to generate Heat & Power. Producing renewable energy from our biodegradable wastes helps to tackle the energy...
